For many years, information technology has revolutionised society all around the world, the result of which has had significantly enhanced the lifestyle and daily duties in human society. The revolution that is currently set in is the Information revolution, focussing around ways of revolutionising the work industry. Work has changed over the past 50 years due to the changes to information technology and has added improvements to the devices we currently use on a daily basis such as personal computers, mobile devices, wireless technology and even robotics. The advances in technology are based around the analogy of Moore’s Law which states that processors and processing speeds in computers will double every two years. With these advances in technology, jobs for the people that are being born in 2015 have not even been thought of yet. Three careers that have been impacted by these changes are game developers, animators and hardware developers. The main factor that has helped this industry is that it has simplified the time taken to finish a job and how much can be done within a certain time period. Compared to the amount of digital storage 50 years ago, the amount is huge now; there are hard drives that can store up to four terabytes worth of storage compared to five megabytes. Technology has also contributed to this by allowing access to files from the devices that the employee owns outside of their workplace. For example, if someone is on a business trip, they can access their work email through their phone without any problems and respond to any emails sent to them.
