First Tee Mission Statement

Over the summer I interned with this amazing company called, The First Tee of Tampa Bay. This organization wasn’t always known as The First Tee of Tampa Bay, when it started in 1991 it was first called Urban Junior Golf at Rogers Park Golf Course in Tampa. The whole concept behind this organization, was to be an affordable and accessible golf organization for those in the inner city to teach them how to become a better person through their Nine Core Values (courtesy, judgement, honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, and perseverance).
Their complete mission statement is “The First Tee is a youth development organization introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to young people. Through after-school and in-school programs, we help shape the lives of young people from all walks …show more content…

The we have our only three full time employees. Starting with our executive director Ian Baxter, who is in charge of everything internally. Under him you have our program director Mackenzie Mack and recently resign Secah Shahib who are in charge of our different classes, School PE, budgeting, summer camp, and our local tournaments. Then we have Ryan Aaron recent grad of The University of Tampa: sport management program. His responsibilities are too register people into our program, run summer camps, and complete any tasked that is handed down to him from Ian Baxter and Mackenzie Mack. Now that we go through all of the full time, let’s move into the part time staff. First Starting off with me golf coach/mentor & office assistant I’ll go more in-depth into my duties during the Summary of my internship paper.
