The Park Ridge Country Club was started by Dr. A.G Buchheit and a group of people that shared interest in starting a country club in 1906. The golf course was designed by Herbert J Tweedie and was originally a 9-hole course but later was changed to an 18-hole course. The course was also recently renovated in 2001 the course was restructured by David Esler to make it better for the golfers by redesigning certain holes. Together they are able to relate and comfort each other the way a family or girlfriend would through the tough times of the Citadel. Another cadet states, “We’re all suffering together. It’s how we bond,’” (Faludi 75). These cadets need each other and need to become one in order to succeed not only individually but collectively in the
Being able to see their contributions to Camp Shawnee like the bunk beds and mattress in the camp, they built tables for the new Craft Room, and screening in the gazebo by the lake. Being with (CAP), I felt like my opinion mattered especially when it came down to social media, the Mt. Spirit magazine, creating images for Canva, and the weekly meeting with Mr. Clay, Mrs. Tina and I. (CAP) is an organization that is very friendly even with Mr. Guy Adams, the president and chief executive officer of CAP, Phyllis Caudill, the assistant vice president of philanthropy. Everyone that I have met at (CAP) has been so nice and accepting and willing to help me with anything. Mrs. Bryson has taught me so many lessons when it comes to public relations, especially when writing press release and learning various ways of writing a press release, even gaining the skill of turning an interview into a press release, being able to use BurrellesLuce, Canva, SmugMug, and creating a Media List, even when posting images on Instagram and the word usage. She made sure that I understood the basics of (CAP) and what they stand

This relates to the theme because although they are in a camp they still sometimes get the essentials
Supporting our camping program is the evaluation process completed at each Kanawha County Camp measuring essential elements and lifeskills. This instrument evaluates whether the camp itself contains one or more of the elements needed to achieve positive outcomes in youth. After years of assessments, Kanawha County camps are productive, safe, educational and inclusive environments yet Kanawha has a lower than average representation of male campers at camp. At the state level, 4-H camps tend to have, on average, 38%. In younger residential camp, male campers tend to make between 30% and 35% of the campers.

As a freshman, I wanted to feel like I could make Texas A&M my new home and feel accepted. However, I was horrified to go to Fish Camp and I was horrified to start school. But after Fish Camp, I was excited to make more friends and strengthen those that were made at camp. The reason I am applying to be a Fish Camp counselor is because I want to be able to make incoming students that felt the same way I did know that they are meant to be here.
Over the summer I interned with this amazing company called, The First Tee of Tampa Bay. This organization wasn’t always known as The First Tee of Tampa Bay, when it started in 1991 it was first called Urban Junior Golf at Rogers Park Golf Course in Tampa. The whole concept behind this organization, was to be an affordable and accessible golf organization for those in the inner city to teach them how to become a better person through their Nine Core Values (courtesy, judgement, honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, and perseverance). Their complete mission statement is “The First Tee is a youth development organization introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to young people.

The Lifeline Theatre is located in the heart of the Glenwood Avenue Arts District of Chicago’s historic Rogers Park. In their mission statement they emphasize the importance of “supporting writers in the development of literary adaptations and new works”; also, they aim to “foster a lifelong engagement with literature and the arts” (Lifeline Theatre, np). The concept behind the formation of this theatre company was that people should be able to engage in “big stories up close,” and they also believe that nobody should be left out of this engagement. There are services offered to allow everyone to make the most out of each performance such as touch tours, audio-described performances, assistive listening devices, open-captioned performances, Autism/sensory-friendly performances, and wheelchair accessible seating (Lifeline Theatre, np).
Attending Camp Green Lake not only changes the mindset of these boys but it also develops their personality. This is important because teenage years are the most fun but also one of the most important in a person's life. It is the time when you discover yourself and choose what kind of person you want to be. You make a lot of mistakes as a teenager but the significant thing to do is to learn from them so you won’t repeat that mistake. Digging holes isn’t the only thing we do at Camp Green Lake.
It also does not teach them unity between people and nature, neglects the importance of basic skills any person needs for survival. In other words, it accustoms students for stability, which is not always present in life. As the camp’s main postulate is cooperation and care for the natural environment (Hicks, 226), children are taught to help. It can be anything – from washing up to feeding animals, working in the garden and kitchen. The camp’s main aim is to make children understand that being helpful to other people is not always rewarded with money, moreover, it should not be like this.
Experience Matters During vacation to Spider Lake in Wisconsin, the Bachmann family met some friends for dinner. During that dinner, the Bachmann’s son, John, found his life changed forever by a conversation over dinner with friends. Working at the furniture store with his dad was nice and all, but he got bored quite easily and wanted a fun, new experience of his own. Coincidentally, during this conversation, the family friends suggested Camp Highlands.
