On February 14, 2018 a former student of Stonewall Douglas High School walked the hall with a rifle and fired at many of the students leaving 17 students and teachers dead and 17 severely injured. Many students nade calls to their families and to an emergency number. The shooter was eventually caught but to this day they are still remembering the tragedies that occurred on that day. For many students that was going to be a normal valentines day where the only things that they had to worry about was school and who their valentine was. This shooter who was later identified as Nickolas Cruz.
The author’s tone in this quote is violent and bitter. Eric saying that he “hated almost everyone “, would support the reader’s thinking towards what kind of person Eric is, and what Eric is thinking. Eric’s use of language almost immediately gives the reader a hint of what he is capable of, not in the sense that he would literally “rip is head off and eat it” but in the sense that he is capable of doing bad things. Given the fact that people throughout the United States have already heard of the mass shooting in Columbine, the reader would promptly identify Eric as the killer and they would be right. The author’s purpose could be to keep the reader thinking: who is the killer? , but also help the reader predict how will the killer’s next plans
In 1995, Timothy McVeigh was responsible for making a bomb and blowing up a federal building in Oklahoma, which earned him the title of the most prolific mass murder in America (Saferstein, 2105). Using a moving truck to house and transport the bomb, he parked it at the federal building and simply walked away (Saferstein, 2105). Shortly after, the truck bomb exploded with such force, it killed 168 people and completely ruined the building (Saferstein, 2105). As fate would have it, he was stopped driving a vehicle by a state trooper for having no license plate later that same morning and arrested for transporting a firearm (Saferstein, 2105). A brief overview on the Virginia-Tech Massacre reading is that it is an approach/explanation towards a male, Seung-Hui Cho, for his killing of 32 professors and fellow students, injuring another 25, and then finally killing himself at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. This reading explains four different yet similar incidents that might’ve lead to Cho becoming murderous and wanting to kill others. In addition, the reading also provides a short introduction on Cho’s personality and how peers around him contributed their own negative thoughts to his personality which led Cho to think that killing is the solution to things. In 2020 the most shocking, unforgettable, and traumatic event took place in Minneapolis. A man known as George Floyd was murdered by four former Minneapolis police officers. On May 25, 2020 it was a normal day in Minneapolis. George Floyd was a 46-year-old black man who was arrested after an employee at a convinete store called 911. The employee told the Minneapolis Police that George Floyd was trying to purchase cigarettes with a $20 bill that was contourfit.

Columbine was a very tragic event. The Colombine shooting was when two teens, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, went on a shooting spree in their high school. They killed and wounded lots of students, and one teacher. The attack on Columbine happened April 20, 1999, twenty three people were wounded during the attack (“We are Columbine” Fox News). Moreover, the media are the biggest fear mongers which create public panic to the society by using various methods.

Columbine High School Shooting was a tragic event that could have been stopped even though the outcome of the shooting could have been much worse, the event that happened in the Columbine were horrific, and missed warning signs could have stopped the attack from ever happening.

The lack of protection could make them vulnerable to the harsh world of the internet. Harsh people these days tend to show no mercy since they could care less about the opposing person 's feelings.
