Four Categories Of Being A Visual Learner

I am an artist, an athlete, and my best subject is math, so it doesn’t surprise me that my top three multiple intelligence categories are visual spatial, logical mathematical, and interpersonal. I have always learned best in an environment where I can physically see and create a picture or formula that represents the information I am given. These basic inventory quizzes represent my learning style very well.

When the quiz said I was a 92% visual spatial learner, it was a very good representation of my learning and artistic style. Being a visual learner, I tend to take a question and turn it into a picture in my head to help my comprehend and recollect the skills that I am being or previously have been taught. When I am reading a textbook I am able to read a page, and by remembering where the text is on that page it makes it easier to remember. The visual of the book and the spatial recognition of that page makes information connect more efficiently and tends to be easier to recall. This also translates to sports because when I am being taught a new skill or correcting my form it helps to see the movements being done. I can either watch film or have my coach show me the skill and I have a better idea of what I need to do to change my motions. As I said before, my favorite and most successful subject is mathematics. This category goes hand in hand with the visual spatial style, because by taking those skills I can create formulas and symbols that allow for me to understand complex problems more simply. Not only can this be seen in class but I also like to problem solve. Whether that be a puzzle, an issue with technology, or even just issues with people. I like to fix and build things which increases the percentage of this category
