BLAME WHO?!?! Who do you believe is to Blame? In the play Romeo and Juliet written by Shakespeare, did Friar Laurence become the reason for R+J's death? He married them, gave Juliet the potion vial, and was supposed to send a letter to Romeo. So this means and shows that Friar Laurence is the reason that Romeo and Juliet are both dead. Because they are just kids and you're just encouraging them. Friar Laurance is most to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because he married Romeo and Juliet, he gave Juliet the fake potion vial, and he is supposed to send a letter to Romeo. Also, Friar Laurence married Romeo and Juliet. In Act 2 Scene 6 Line # he states “come, come with me, and we will make short work; for, by your leaves, you shall not stay alone till holy church incorporate two in one.” So, Friar Laurence made them officially married, but then Romeo was exiled he can not see with Juliet, So, Juliet can not marry anyone else and he is her sworn enemy; if she can not be with Romeo: she plans to kill herself. …show more content…
