True love from the Funeral Home
We all have different ways on how we hold funerals and for us Hmong people, our funerals are either Christian theme meaning church standard and Traditional meaning old school from when our great-grandparents was still holding these type of funerals. It’s always fun because there are always food, drinks, friends, family, and girls. Our funerals tend to run on a Friday afternoon until the day of burial usually Sunday or Monday.

She was 16 and lived in Monroe, NC which was only 30 minutes away from me. I muster up the courage to go up to her and chat with her. She was friendly and loved to laugh. Within a few minutes we hit it off. We exchange numbers and email and before the night was over, she was beside me anywhere I went and hung out with me until she had to leave. We started calling each other and emailing one another for about 3 months or so believing that this was a start to a beautiful relationship, but then she broke the news to me. None of my emails I sent to her were replied. It seemed like she just vanish in thin air. Then after 6 years of me moving on and not hearing anything from her, I got an unexpected instant message from a girl I had on my MSN Messenger. At first, she was toying with me saying how much she missed me and how she missed the way I made her feel when we were together. Hint after hint, I gave up and eventually, she told me who she was and all I could do was just look at the screen with her name typed in the messenger window. I immediately ask, “What’s your number?” and instantly, the number popped up on the monitor.
