Being a game tester is my ideal career. A game tester examine the usability and functions of a video game before it is released to the public. Game testers actually document defects in the game controls and report them to gaming companies (Nine different techniques). They have a long history of playing many different types of games on multiple platforms. So, game testers get paid for doing something they are passionate about and will do for free. Game testing has been around for more than 15 years and it will be around for years many more years. This essay discusses basic requirements for game testers, employment outlook, salaries for game testers, turnover rate of game testers, and burnout experiences of game testers.
The academic requirement for game testers is minimal but a degree in computer science is ideal.
