The influential philosopher, John Locke once said a citizen is entitled to natural rights such as “Life, Liberty, and Property.” In this case homosexuals, as citizens of this country, are entitled to the freedoms of making their own decisions as of whether or not they should be able to adopt based upon standards met, regardless of sexuality, and just as heterosexual parents, be able to live their lives the way they see fit if the child(ren) are nurtured and taken care of. Considering now-a-days minors bully each other based on the clothes they wear, their popularity, and etc. Besides on how the people of today's society sees you it is said that homosexual couple raise their child to be more successful and have a wider range in life. Abigail Goldberg a psychologist at Clark University who researches gay and lesbian parenting said "gay parents tend to be more motivated, more committed than heterosexual parents because they chose to be parents" And while researchers states that kids are under that circumstance of gay parents show differences in achievements, mental health or social functioning and other measures. Some think growing up in a household with gay parents can affect their outlook on life. Though that may be true, the affects of homosexual parents give the child a more open sort of mind. This causes them to be more susceptible to not only the ideas of others but their relationships as well. Instead of having a narrow mind as heterosexual parents give their child, homosexual parents tend to give the child broader aspects and perspectives. Homosexuals, those proud of who they are, tend to be more optimistic in situations, this could prove to be an advantage the child can learn
