Are scientists going too far with their experiments and studies? This is a question many people would ask when they hear about a new technology. There is only one answer for this question which is no, they are not. Everything in life has consequences; pros and cons, but the trick is: what exceeds what? So, if the pros of something are greater than its cons, why not give it a try? The genome therapy is a technology people are debating on to either outlaw it or support it. “Gene Therapy seeks to provide genes that correct or supplant the disease-controlling functions of cells that are not, in essence, doing their job,” according to an article in The Gale Encyclopedia of Genetic Disorders by Kathrine Hunt . So, they just want to eliminate inherited diseases in order to let people have a peaceful life. Answering the first question with no or yes is not enough. People should provide evidence, so people’s opinions can be taken into account to whether support the technology or act as it has never been addressed. Many people hate the idea of this technology where it is, in fact, a very helpful technology. Debating has no end; it keeps going and going. Regardless, you have to support your opinion with logical reasons; reasons that make sense. As the background of this technology showed, this technology age is around 155 years which is a pretty decent number to make this technology trustworthy. Also, scientists are more responsible than to try this technology on human beings without testing it and apply many types of research and experiments on.
