I am excited to apply for the Master of Science in Information Systems program at Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business, specializing in cybersecurity. I have had diverse experiences along my path to this point. These experiences have driven me to seek a fulfilling career in information systems. Growing up in a world where technology was a rarity rather than the norm, the likelihood of pursuing a career in information technology (IT) never crossed my mind. This longing made more sense when I stumbled upon IT and entrepreneurship courses during my undergraduate studies. These courses opened my eyes to opportunities in IT. However, my love for IT began during my national service, where I met real IT professionals. They showed me how to navigate different software, and each click and command in these digital spaces thrilled me. As I dived into the IT world, I took courses on Coursera such as Python for Data Science, AI and Development, Cybersecurity for Everyone, and The Bits and Bytes of Computer Networking. The experiences I gained from these courses made me desire to become a person who creates a safe digital environment. Hence, I found my calling in cybersecurity, a field I once believed was beyond reach. Despite my background, this passion is not to be ignored.
