The three careers I chose to examine were IT Security Administrator, Forensics Investigator, and Obstetrician Gynecologist. I chose these careers because I discovered that the employment rates for these jobs are expected to grow at a faster than average 37% from 2012-2022. This is because data security threats are growing and with more digital technology rising, more organizations have become victims of cyber crimes. The other career is what I want to be. Internet Security Administrators, also known as computer security specialists, or Internet security specialists, protect computer systems against attack.
GA TECH Beyond rankings, location, and athletics, why are you interested in attending Georgia Tech? (max 150 words) Interning at the ADAMS Lab at the University at Buffalo made me realized my passion I had for engineering research. Working with Autonomous UAVs I began to understand just how satisfying the element of discovery and how much the rigor appealed to me. I hope to continue working with autonomous UAVs as a researcher in college.
College is one of the biggest challenges for most adults today. Not only for where, how, and why, but for the constant struggle of going through college smoothly. College will always be one bump after the next, but with enough preparation and caution, it can be done smoothly. For my two colleges is am researching Colorado School of Mines and Georgia Tech. Both of these schools are really interesting for me, but I’m not sure if it’s the right ones for me.
Regent University allows students to grow both academically and spiritually into Christian leaders that will greatly impact the world to advance the Kingdom of God. Regent not only teaches students, but they also equip students to fulfill the Great Commission; which is to go out and teach the nations about Jesus. My vision after graduating from Regent is to heal God’s broken people through a holistic approach; addressing the physical, mental, and spiritual needs through the formation of a nonprofit organization. A MA in Practical Theology would enable me to teach and minister from an outreach approach; sometimes teaching to the homeless in the streets, other times reaching those in shelters, and also those broken within the church. This demographic appeals to me, because I know what it feels like to be broken and lost; and I further understand the power that is in Jesus and his ability to restore and heal.
Having so many options for creating with Legos, I used my creativity to build one design. One of my teachers I have made it clear that in my future job, I should enjoy and be do my job with a smile on my face. My one goal in life is to major in Digital Arts and Cloud Technology for the rest of my life and stick with it, and that would definitely be accomplished if I went to Full Sail University. Digital Arts and Cloud Technology are two majors that FSU is highly known for, and that is why FSU would fit my needs for a college perfectly. Full Sail University has many opportunities for students, with their many Scholarships options.
As a student, I’ve always strived to actively participate in my school as much as possible. This all started in middle school when I chose to participate in ASB leadership, track, football, and basketball. I feel that my motives to take on as many tasks as possible stemmed from the strong encouragement from my parents. My dad never attended college, and my mom only attended for a short period of time, and as a result of this, neither were able to obtain their ideal career path. Due to this, my parents constantly reminded me as I grew up about the importance of doing well in school and becoming the first in the family to earn a college degree.
In order to see if any career services center is truly capable of performing their duties, one must be able to dig further than your average student. In order to fully see what a university has to offer one must be able to see what the university offers their students. As an undergrad it is impossible to fully know what we want to do. We have no formal training on how to create a cover letter, resume or any material that is needed in order to obtain a future. Background Information
I am not like other sixteen year olds. I find a better use of my time making the world a better place than partying or loafing around. While my peers engage in such activities I work towards broadening my awareness of the world around me. It’s the small things, namely learning about foreign cultures or giving back to my community that make me different. At sixteen years old, I am graduating from Inlet Grove Community High School and have been accepted to Florida Atlantic University.
People may think that becoming a vet is a demanding job, but there are those that will and do pursue the career. Such as myself. After comparing Texas A&M, University of California-Davis, and University of Florida based on my criteria of distance, family, and the great community, Texas A&M would be the best choice in helping me pursue my career in animal science. The process will be long and difficult but there is nothing no one can not accomplish if their mind is set to being successful .
The minute I came across the announcement for the NSF REU site on Facebook, I knew immediately that I had chosen the correct major at Florida State University. Like many transfer students, and a distance one at that, I was limited by my selection during the transfer process and decided on Interdisciplinary Social Science with concentrations in Sociology and Geography. The description of the research project on the Citizen Science GIS website put my decision to study ISS into clear perspective when I had the lightbulb moment of why; because I am passionate about people, places, and stories, and that the research tracks are something that would be just as useful in the coastal community of Sarasota where I live. Truth be told, I was not always this passionate about the coast.
When deciding what schools I wanted to apply to, Carnegie Mellon was by far my top pick. Not only does it offer a top notch education to students from around the world, but it also offers a variety of math and technology intensive programs. Since the school is very selective of its applicants, the result is a close, tight-knit community of students who care about their education, and who hunger to know more about the world, and use their knowledge and experiences to solve real-world problems. I believe that this type of learning community would suit my learning style and provide the level of academic rigor that I want. I chose the major of engineering because I really enjoy problem solving and critical thinking.
The Nazi soldier smiled at Josef’s mother. “You choose. Someone gets to survive and the other one has to die and go to the camps. The book Refugee, by Alan Gratz, is A book to read- not just any book but one that will make you think.
Growing up, I was never afraid of being myself. I have a very large family, so I knew how to socialize very well at a young age. Socializing is a huge part of who I am, and it’s a part of my life I will always enjoy. I love meeting new people, because people always differ from one another. I respect the diversity of someone’s culture and background.
My natural curiosity motivates me to learn how things work, and why things are the way they are. I know that there is much about the world that I have yet to learn, and I am excited to expand my horizons. I am also motivated by being in an environment of good, like-minded people, who are also motivated to learn. These people inspire me and push me to do better. Continuing my education at Emory will improve my knowledge, provide me with new experiences, and allow me to experience different perspectives.
We must acknowledge that there will be times where we lose our position, only to realize where we stand. Growing up life seemed hard, but now I realized how amazing it was; I had a family who loved me and I was never seen different (discriminated), I was always told I had four very impart jobs: have respect for people even if I didn’t like them, do good in school, always ask questions and never forget where I came from, little did I know I realized where I came from after I left. When I came to the United States of America, New York became a dream, but we must all wake up and stop dreaming; I did after my mother past away a year after I’ve arrived. The world became gray, for I was very downhearted and life felt like death because of all the
