The reporting party (RP) reported being contacted by school office of Williams Elementary 7530 Arnett St., Downey, CA 90241 (562) 904-3564. The school office reported observed what appeared to be a burn to foster child Amber Gonzales ' DOB; 11/14/08 right hand. DCF Arlene Barragan investigated. On 3/17/17 foster mother Alma Yepes took the foster child to the hospital located at 11500 Brookshire Ave., Downey, CA 90241 (562) 904-5000 for an examination, the wound was cleaned and wrapped.
Muriel Gobea is a recent graduate of Parlier High School and a current Youth Advisory Board Member to the California Health Collaborative. Ms. Gobea has served on the Performing Above the High Youth Advisory Board for 4 years, while also serving as a Youth Representative on the Fresno County Marijuana Prevention Advisory Board. As the third ranking student in his grade level, Martin Vargas - Gines is a proud graduating senior of Lakewood High School. Martin likes to get good grades, read, run, play music and interact with others. Always willing to take an interest in the arts Martin has been reading bass cleff since the fifth grade on the string bass and took up playing the electric bass guitar his sophomore year, but this is his first time participating in a school play. Martin’s other involvements in school include being the Battalion Commander in his schools Army JROTC, and running cross country, indoor and outdoor track. Rosa M. has had behavioral issues all her life and has been in and out of her mother’s home. Rosa M. and her boyfriend smoke weed and have domestic disputes while the children are present, Malcolm has failed third grade several times, and he’s been in and out of different schools several times. Rosa M. has threatened Malcolm in the past if he doesn’t do things she wants him to do. There are people in and out of the home often and the mother’s boyfriend has a violent history and was recently released from jail. Christian has balled his fist up in a threatening manner at Malcolm in the past when he witnessed Christian stealing money from his mother’s purse.
