Within the last few decades, there has been a strong increase in the number of people made aware of the issue of global warming. Since the times of Richard Nixon and his emerging climate policies to the world’s conferences on the global climate. This issue of global warming, however, can be traced much further back from this time, over to the late 18th century and early 19th century, when industrialization began to pick up around the world. The advancements in technology that required the use of coals and natural gases, pushed on the use of these energy sources. Many opponents come from more conservative groups or groups who make their money off the selling or use of fossil fuels. A large number of economies on Earth depend on coal, natural gases, etc. in order to run their systems, with this knowledge many who are against global warming being a crisis consider the effects that decreased fossil fuel use would cause the economy to be much worst. One should be aware though that changes in climate - the weather conditions prevailing in a certain area, has a strong effect on labor productivity, supply and crop yield, as well as the development of basic necessities. Damage to these areas would have a much greater effect on the economy in the future as it becomes more difficult to manage. Following this, there are some countries on Earth, who make use of environmentally friendly energies for a majority or large part of their nation’s total energy, this countries often being small in comparison to others. Claims go on to saying that our country can not afford to go environmentally friendly, the low price of fossil fuels compared to environmentally friendly alternatives tend to put off the development in better energy use and lower prices.
