Good Morning, When I found out that I was going to the Holocaust museum, I was so excited. I couldn’t wait to hear from a survivor. I was curious about what happened in the camps and excited to learn more about the Holocaust. I was very interested in all of the of pictures and videos. Mr. Mendel Rosenberg’s story was my favorite part. He was such a nice person and I’m so glad that I met him. I connected his story to a book I read with my class called “Between Shades of Gray” by Ruta Sepetys. When Mr. Rosenberg said he was Lithuanian, I thought of a connection between him and the protagonist in the story. I also really liked all of the information that the museum had. There were real clothes and badges that they wore. The guides were very smart and knew every question that was asked. …show more content…
Something that was really interesting to me was that the guards from the camp took pictures. It was really upsetting to learn that families were split up and killed. I also learned that Jews were sent to ghettos which are places that split up the Jews from everyone else. It made me think about how much I have. The most important thing I learned from the museum was that once all of the survivors die, it’s our job to educate everyone about the Holocaust so history doesn’t repeat itself. I’d like to thank you for inviting us to your Holocaust museum and helping me learn more about it. Your museum is amazing and it was a great experience. I hope I can come back soon!
