War has been declared between Grandpa Jack (Stokes) and Peter Stokes. This war began when Grandpa Jack sold his house in Florida in order to move in with the other members of the Stokes family. Peter was perfectly fine with this until he realized just where Grandpa Jack was moving into. Jenny, Peter’s younger sister is according to Peter, “No good at all in that department (keeping secrets). In fact, I can usually get her to tell me anything I want because I’m her big brother and she’s only a little kid.” Peter’s statement was proven true when he easily gets Jenny to crack about the secret she was keeping from him. And I don't ever want to live anywhere else.” Once Grandpa Jack gets there, Peter declares war. Although at first, Grandpa Jack does not take part in the war, after he has to smack Peter to try to make him understand how serious war is, and Peter declares war for real, Grandpa Jack steals Peter’s Monopoly pieces. Although Grandpa Jack’s attack was horrible, Peter decides to go fishing with his grandfather. Then, Peter steals Grandpa Jack’s watch. However, after Jenny tries to play Monopoly, Peter and Grandpa Jack trade the pieces for the watch. Nonetheless, the war is still on, and it's about to get heated. Peter has been waiting for Grandpa Jack’s attack and getting extremely restless. Then, it happens. On a normal Wednesday morning, Grandpa Jack attacks. He changed Peter’s clock to ring fifteen minutes later than usual, stole his slippers, moved his underwear, his toothbrush, and his socks. He also stole his shoelaces, belt, and his school books. Peter gets to school late and is livid with Grandpa Jack. So livid in fact, that Peter steals Grandpa Jack’s false teeth. In the end, Peter can see how upset Grandpa Jack is about not having his teeth. Peter decides to surrender to his grandfather and stops the war. However, Grandpa creates a plan for Peter
