According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for the career of an Information Security Analyst from 2014 to 2024 is 18%, which is much faster than average (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2017, para 1); the job outlook for a Graphic Designer from the year 2014 to 2024 is 1%, which is considered to be little or no change (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2017, para 1). As today’s technology advances, the need for Information Security Analysts and other cyber security roles is rapidly increasing, and the need for more artistic jobs such as Graphic Designers remains almost the exact same. This means you should definitely consider a job that has multiple fields for you to expand yourself in. According to the Graphic Design Degree Hub, there are just a few different fields that are quite common within the career. It says, “Some of the most common concentrations in graphic design are listed below. Editorial design (or publication and print design), advertising and marketing, interactive and navigational design, motion graphics, and sustainable design.” (Graphic Design Degree Hub, para 1).
