The career I chose for my research paper is an Information Security Analyst. “Information security analysts plan and carry out security measures to protect an organization’s computer network and systems”(summary). I chose this career because I have always been elated to join in on the cybersecurity and cyber warfare world. It is imperative to understand the education or training requirements, skills, or talents needed, salary and benefits offered, and the duties for a particular career when making this decision. Information Security Analysts usually work in the office at about 40 hours a week in urban locations(A day in the life of an Information Security Analyst). “The review security measures while looking for vulnerabilities in the systems”(A Day in the Life of an Information Security Professional). They will also exploit their own system to find holes in their security so they can patch it. This is a formidable task because while they do so they are exposing weaknesses in their own systems. Some of them being Analytical Skills, Detail Oriented, Ingenuity, Problem-solving skills(Summary). Analytical skills would help while you are problem solving things wrong with your system. Detail orientation would aid you when you need to find something as little wrong as a misplaced comma in three thousand lines of code. Ingenuity would also assist you if you needed to code something, because coding is an art there are millions of different, better, faster ways to do it.
