This semester has been a great learning experience for me. This knowledge has help ground my philosophical views on educating young children. My involvement and the commitment has made me a successful student within this class. Through my participation I have learned many things that will help my journey into a teaching position and help guide me in the future classes. Throughout this semester I have tried to give 100% effort in this class. One of the most important elements of this class is participation. Communicating with other students and reading their post was a large part of learning experience. Without reading the other student post and learning their perspective I wouldn’t have had a well-rounded learning experience. Every day I would login to my class and try and read my classmates post. I tried to meet the grading criteria guidelines posting three different days and respond to at least 2 different students with meaningful well written post. Even though I had taken other courses towards my degree in early childhood Education my first lesson plan was the hardest. Not having the know-how within a classroom made me nervous about what would be an appropriate lesson plan for the age group I desired to tech. Through the textbook reading, communication with other student, the process of writing my philosophy of education, my classroom design and assessments this nervousness has become an ability. I feel I can create a learning environment, lesson plan, and an assessment that would make my classroom a productive learning environment for the student within it.
