Growth mindset is quite the hypocritical idea, it encourages this willingness to put yourself out there and make mistakes, in a system that is structured to punish mistakes. Schools have been based on your marks for many years, your grades are, your ability to succeed are, and even your ability to get awarded for extra curriculars are. That is how it has been for many years, and although lessons in growth mindsets are a great step forward we are not adapting the rest of the system to match.
