According to the Maryland Criminal Law Code 1-301, an accessory after the Fact of Murder is a felony that can be charged with up to 5 years of jail time. Jay Wilds, a supposed contributor to the murder of Hae Min Lee in 1999 Baltimore, was guilty of accessory after the fact of murder but was somehow only charged with 2 years of probation. Who in the world would let this happen, many may speculate, but that is a notorious aura called corruption and bribery in the case of Hae Min Lee’s murder. Asia McClain is a vital individual in this case, proving Adnan’s innocence and whereabouts, being a witness for Adnan. She was the key to Adnan’s innocence, unlocking the door, and letting out the false claims and perceptions people had of Adnan, but instead, something fishy happened, something that would question the credibility of Cristina Gutierrez. Asia declares that at the time of the murder, she talked to Adnan for about 10–15 minutes, during the time the state referred to as the time Adnan strangled and killed Hae. Although this seems absurd enough, it was free of charge! While this seems to be one small benefit, Jay was cut a deal with the police, for a shorter or lighter sentence, of only 2 years of probation, no jail time. Jogging back to Jay’s attorney, this is absurd how the person convicting and sentencing Jay, is choosing out his lawyer for him. This is the epitome of insanity, believing the person who is charging Jay Wilds with his position in this murder, also is the person in charge of picking out the lawyer to defend him, for free. But let’s pause on that, and discuss Jay’s sentence, since the prosecutor, Kevin Urik, was the man in charge of Jay’s sentence after all, so what was his sentence? 2 years of probation and probation. Paired with Jay’s benefits, there is no way in any dimension that this case was evenly distributed between Adnan and Jay. Jay was given a much lighter sentence, for Accessory After the Fact of Murder. After all, Jay was cut a deal with the Baltimore police for a lighter sentence if he cooperated, but even helping the cops should not
