Hi! We’re James, Peter, and Tony. This is the final episode of “Serial,” today we will be talking about what we know about this murder case. As many of you may know, Adnan’s trial was not a fair trial. We don’t know whether Adnan is necessarily guilty or not - but based on the lack of solid evidence, his verdict was made unfairly.
Let’s start off with what we know from the beginning.
The sole witness, Jay Wilds claimed Adnan told him he would kill Hae Min Lee. Jay has given 3 different stories about when Adnan let him know he expected to murder Hae. In one version, Adnan says it the night prior to the murder. In another version, Adnan says it a week before. In another, Adnan says it the morning of the murder.

Well, police never bothers to verify, some witnesses say they don’t recall any payphones at that location.
Adnan is a Muslim, the Muslim community of Baltimore helped Adnan raise funds for his bail. Sarah Koenig stated that there may have been prejudice against the Muslim community, since the teachers feared Adnan’s parents when giving their thoughts/statements on Adnan. Although religion may not have played a role in this case, jurors claim it may be due to culture. Adnan’s lawyer, Christina tries to link possible Mr. S to Jay, but fails to do so. Prosecutor Kevin Urick illegally provided Jay a lawyer he personally knows.
We heard more about Adnan’s past as he had done robbery. According to the people at the Moss, they said they’ve seen Adnan stealing money from the donations they were collecting and wouldn’t be surprised if he had killed someone. He stopped once he was caught red-handed by his mother. They got an expert to testify that murders either stay in denial or have amnesia but if they were wrongfully convicted, they would remain
