Harriet Tubman was a huge role model for people from her time and even people now. She helped many people escape slavery, even knowing the consequences there would be if she was caught. Harriet was vividly remembered for her contributions to the abolition movement, and many other accomplishments that truly showed her persistence and kindness. The abolitionist movement lasted for many years, having its ups and downs. The main goal was to free African Americans from slavery, and to experience freedom and tranquility. Harriet Tubman played a large role in this movement, as she always put the welfare of slaves above hers, and even in old age, continued to care for slaves till she was too weak to stand.
Harriet Tubman, an escaped slave, has been an important part of the abolitionist movement, walking miles and miles for her, and her passenger's freedom throughout the underground railroad inspiring many citizens of the US. The crazy thing is, all this was done while she had 40,000 bounty on her head. She impacted the abolitionist movement greatly by leading more than 300 slaves to freedom, helping during the civil war, and pushing through hardships no matter what happens. Harriet Tubman was a brave woman. She snuck out of her slavery, traveled North, stayed for a year, built a home and she never got caught. She used her secretive “spy” skills to stay in hiding. An ordinary slave woman would probably would stay with their owner, but she did not.
