(Tubman). This shows that Harriet Tubman is very passionate about freedom and liberty. Dedication was the most important leadership quality for Tubman because she did what was best for everyone in order to be free, including planning the trip and safe houses, and no matter what gave the followers courage and urged them on. Dedication was the most essential quality of leadership because if you are not passionate about being a good leader then you won't be one. Another example of this key quality is when Tubman wanted to make sure slaves knew what freedom feels like. Another piece of evidence that shows this quality is when Tubman "was determined the more and more slaves should know what freedom was like" (Petry par.8). Dedication was important in this case because she was determined to reach her goal of freeing as many slaves as she could. Tubman was different yet very similar to her followers because she wanted freedom just like they did but didn't give up like her followers wanted to.
