Harriet tubman was brave because she helped more than 300 slaves escape. She never gave up when her brothers didn’t want to go because they thought they were going to get caught and die. She sang a song to her family to tell them that she’s leaving. But she was scared to because she thought that she would get caught to. She decided to escape from slavery because she wanted equal right for all.

Dedication was important in this case because Tubman liked to motivate the slaves she rescued and was passionate about that. Tubman was different yet very similar to her followers because she wanted freedom just like they did but didn't give up like her followers wanted to. One difference between Tubman and her followers was that eventually one follower wanted to give up, but she was determined and never gave up. An example of this is when a follower said he wanted to go back but, Harriet couldn't risk him giving them away

He was special by doing this because he was basically the only one who could read and write. Later in his life he learned more about slavery and his life he lived as a slave.

Harriet Tubman was not an obvious choice as a leader because she was uneducated, she began her life as a slave, she lived in a culture that did not respect African-Americans, she was barely over five feet tall, and she can not read or write. How did Harriet Tubman gain respect? Harriet Tubman gained respect because every summer she would risk her life by going south and returning with more people, which also gains people trust. She was also fearless, and she her leadership was good.
