Harriet Tubman was a leader and had many characteristics a leader should have. Harriet was brave. She wanted to help as many enslaved people as possible. Harriet Tubman had commitment. The article “Harriet Tubman, conductor on the underground railroad” says “There were eleven in this party, including one of her brothers and his wife. It was the largest group she had ever conducted, but she was determined that more and more slaves should know what freedom was like.” That statement shows how committed she was with helping slaves get to freedom. She took chances to help save them. Harriet was scared of being caught but went on anyways. She was committed to get those enslaved people to Canada for freedom. In conclusion Harriet had commitment.
