Though there is is no exact person who influenced Harriet but “her mother’s courage deeply influenced Harriets beliefs.” she “escaped alone making use of a network known as the Underground Railroad that comprised free and enslaved blacks and white abolitionists and activists. She covered a journey of nearly 90 miles by foot to finally reach Philadelphia, her destination.” when Harriet first began she was first famous for escaping and returning within weeks. But Harriet soon escaped again. She had to overcome the fact that she was a African American slave. A significant accomplishment was conducting the underground railroad which goes 90 miles to Philadelphia. Harriet this accomplishment made her famous. Harriet’s biggest accomplishment would be freeing hundreds of slaves. Harriet freed hundreds and she could of freed another hundred. The only thing harriet didn’t agree with was she was forced to return back with her brothers after she escaped slavery.
