Experimentation and Analysis
The primary research consists of qualitative method with several questions based on three chapters to support our hypothesis and purpose. Our research group carried out internet surveys on Chapter 1, Cyberbullying, and street surveys on Chapter 2 and 3, Manipulation of one’s mind and Internet Fraud, to various age groups. The internet survey has 8 questions while the street survey has 3 for each chapter. Such questions are:

Have you been cyber bullied or been a cyber bully?
Do you think cyberbullying is a rampant problem in our society?
What do you think are the causes of cyberbullying?

The gender ratio is 1:1, and when asked if they had been cyber bullied or been a cyberbully, 36% said that they have been either a victim or a cyberbully, while 50% said they have not been cyberbullied, but have witnessed it online. 15% said that they had not seen any form of cyberbullying. When asked if cyberbullying is a problem in today’s society, 75% said yes while 25% said no. When asked about the cause of cyberbullying, most said that it was for self-satisfaction, while the second most common reason was for the bully to look cool in front of his peers and the third and last reason is as a form of revenge,. When asked about the consequences of cyberbullying, nearly 80% of the people said yes, while 19% said that they have heard of it but are not well-informed, and with one person that says that he had been told about its effects but have not seen it in real life. When asked about their knowledge the possible effects cyberbullying may have on the victims, almost every participant said they were aware. When asked if they believed cyber bullying was a problem among teenagers, majority said it is a problem. Lastly, when asked if the problem of cyber bullying could be resolved, 53% said that it was not a solvable problem, while the rest gave solutions, such as education, modelling, awareness, punishments, disciplinary actions, and the THINK acronym.(refer to top).
