Emergency Life-saving Procedure: The Heimlich Maneuver Steps: 1. First ask the person if they 're choking. If they are able to respond that means that they 'll be able to cough the object out from their throat. However, if they are unable to answer, that means that their airway is completely blocked and the Heimlich maneuver needs to be used. 2. From behind, wrap your arms around the person 's waist and place your head to the side of the victim 's head. Now, place one of your legs in between the person 's legs (this will help to catch them if they were to fall backwards or collapse). 3. Make a fist and then place the thumb side of your fist against the upper abdomen of the victim. This area is below the ribcage and above the navel. 4. Unhealthy Risk-taking Behavior: Behavior that can lead to an injury, arrest, death, etc.. An example of unhealthy risk-taking behavior would be riding your bicycle without using your helmet. This can be dangerous because if you were to fall on your head you would get a head injury (like a skull fracture), such as a concussion, which means it also leads to a brain injury. This unhealthy risk can lead to head injuries and death. Injury Prevention: A term used to describe the steps a person takes in order to prevent an injury. 1. Skull fracture from not wearing a helmet. This injury is quite frequent because many teenagers do not wear a helmet. Though many decide not to because it isn 't “stylish”, it can save your life. Taking a few minutes to put on a helmet will benefit you in the end if you were to fall of your bike and hit your head. 2. Causing a fight that results in you getting a
