In 1913 Henry Ford created the first assembly line that affected America greatly. Ford was interested about how things worked and how he can improve them. He started off by making pocket watches then realizing that there wasn’t a high demand. Later on ford started to work with investors to build the first car. He started to produce different cars that were also simple.
The Studebaker only lasted fifty-four years, but it still has an impact on our cars today. The Studebaker started off with a person named Clement Studebaker, and then he made a gas powered car, and finally stopped. Clement Studebaker was a inventor and he made horse drawn wagons and even cars. His life all started out with his mom and dad and their names were Johannes Studebakenbecker and Catherine Studenbecker. The last name Studenbecker changed after Clement Studebaker got married and his family decided to change their last name after a few children.
Both inventions led to increased productivity and stimulated American economic development, Henry Ford patented the design and soon began to produce more cars than his competitors. Ford knew that in order to keep his employees satisfied he would have to raise their pay, so he did. From a measly two dollars to five he immediately noticed an increase work ethic , including the price reduction his workers could finally afford the new Model T and now had enough time to use it. This led to an increase in employees and wages, the automobile showed a renewed cultural outlook in America that would soon be spread to all neighboring countries. The invention of the airplane changed the United States forever, it changed the way that Americans would travel making it easy and affordable not to mention that it would help significantly improve the American economy through shipping and distribution.
There were many noticeable components that contributed to the advancement and growth of the United States such as: industrialization, the Great Depression, and war. Of the many occurrences, technology had the single greatest impact on the continued evolution of the United States. The new inventions, new discoveries, and new innovation led to greater economic growth and wealth that the American people experienced during 1920-1940. One invention that influenced and continues to impact American lives is the automobile. Kyvig (2002) has argued that automobile ownership tripled during the 1920s, and by the end of the decade four families out of five owned an automobile.

Henry Ford and The Assembly Line changed the way we make cars today. Some topics that will be discussed are Henry Ford’s life, his accomplishments and the assembly line. Henry Ford has many accomplishments, including The Model A, The Elliott Cresson Medal, and the assembly line. On July 30, 1863 Henry Ford was born and he was the first surviving son until old age of William and Mary Ford.
Solely, one assembly line may only have 500 workers, and can fashion five various types of car models and many different features. This invention over 100 years ago has aided humans to access the ability to produce goods at a mass scale quite quickly. In sum, the moving assembly line was one of the most important inventions of the early 20th century. Henry Ford improved the technology and productivity of factories with this innovation.
Henry Ford and his invention: The Assembly Line was one of the most important chapters in the 20th century, and one of the great leaps of the Industrialization. Before 1913, Ford has already been looking for ways to improve the production number of his best-selling Model T, in order to reduce the production cost and so to lower the price and be able to sell it in great numbers. To building the predecessor of Model T, the Model N, the process required parts of the automobile to be arranged beforehand, put the under-construction car on a skid and slowly dragged it down the line as they work and finish the car step by step.
Henry Ford and the Assembly Line “He was responsible for for transforming the automobile from an invention of unknown utility into an innovation that profoundly shaped the 20th century and continues to affect our lives today” (henryford.org). This man, Henry Ford, changed the lives of people everywhere. He did this by inventing and making one of the most influential products in American history.
This is how people that could not find a job because they were not skilled enough and now Ford created way for these types of people to be able to care and provide for their families. “The assembly line cut the amount of time it took to assemble a Model T from 12.5 hours to just 93 minutes.” This shows people that Ford created the assembly line for future people to use and get things done in factories and workplaces more efficiently.
A graphic submits the idea of the assembly line. (The assembly line created more jobs for people and produced more automobiles. Because it took less time to make five than it did to make one, many were being created, demand was higher and the prices lowered enough that middle-class people could purchase them) (Document 4). The assembly line was a new idea that increased labor, producing more machines.
California was born in the middle of many issues of conflict. Crisis over slavery, political legitimacy, and conflict over land, labor, race and ethnicity ( Competing Vision 132 ).During the mid 1800’s California saw many transformations, some positive some negative. There was a slow reservations development for Indians, but a better established land ownership. With certain political figures, who rallied to remove laws, which discriminated against African Americans and rather high religious tolerance, California was taking a distinct shape.
Pioneers of the Industrial Age). He was always improving the automobile making it safer and better for the public so Ford got more money. The Model T was a big success making millions of sales but there was some flaws like safety people were getting hurt which is giving the Model T a bad name so Ford came out with the Model A which had special features to make it safer and faster for the public. Ford then built a big plant with a assembly line and other material plants necessary to build a automobile along with factories all over the country. By doing this the name Ford would be on every automobile which would make him popular throughout the world (History.hanover.edu Henry
Another amazing invention was the assemble line created by Henry Ford. An assembly line is a sequence of machines and workers in a factory, which a succession of the same items are
The man behind the idea of setting up the Ford model cars from scratch is Henry Ford. Henry Ford is one of the most important figure in the automotive history. Model T was built and sold to public in year of 1908 and the number of sales reached over the year has set a new record in the history of automotive at that time. Within the time, Ford has own about half percentage of the automotive industries.
