Their goals also had differences like how many risks they took and also the level of risk each took. Hatshepsut risked her chance at being a Pharaoh, she did that by slowly taking more power from the Pharaoh. Meanwhile, Perseus risked his life. Perseus risked his life to become a hero by taking a chance and slaying Medusa. Perseus could have been turned to stone by Medusa but kept his promise to Athena, The Giant, and Hermes.
Zinczenko’s Rhetorical Precis In his essay “Don’t Blame the Eater,” David Zinczenko sympathizes for port fast-food patron, like himself ages ago, he agrees that food industry should take some responsibility for obesity. He supports his claim by warning consumers about the dangers of fast food,as it play a factor in obesity. Zincenko believes the prevalence of fast food and the lack of healthier food alternatives is causing obesity in America.
This fell upon the children”. The death of numerous kids by Cleomedes defines how his myth turns out. However, Heracles in his story is driven insane by Hera while Cleomedes is driven insane because of his grief and not because of a god. Furthermore, another thing common between these two heroes was that both of these characters try to repent for the crimes they committed. Heracles “performs various deeds as punishment” (Maurizio, 442) for his actions while Cleomedes hides in the chest to absolve himself from the crimes he committed.
In the legend of Perseus to Percy Jackson Lightning Thief rendered new characters. First, Perseus had no allies, Percy Jackson had a few- Grover, Annabeth. In both the stories of Odysseus and Perseus, both show similarities of what the Ancient Greeks believed to be a hero. The story of Odysseus was written by Homer, and the story of Perseus was written by Edith Hamilton. In both stories they both show their focusedness on their task, their determination, and their wanting to to accomplish their task. However, both had their flaws in either their plan or their personality. Both these hero’s were focused on their completing their task.

When Perseus tries to cut off Medusa's head, he looks through the reflection on his mirroring shield, while it is much more modern in the book as Percy looks through a reflection on a glass. Percy Jackson draws on the legend of Perseus by changing some of the characters to fit a more modern time zone instead, the quest was also slightly changed. It transforms the legend b modernizing the theme and whole story to be more appealing to kids of this day and age. That is why I think the film Percy Jackson and the story of Perseus are more similar than different.

Perseus was considered a demigod who didn’t had special power, but had a intellect and physical ability that helped him slayed Medusa. Perseus is the son of Zeus and Danae. Perseus special story is defeating Medusa with the aid of the gods Zeus, Athena, and Hades. This is important because he was able to defeat Medusa even though King polydectes sent him in the quest to get killed, but Perseus got revenge into turning him into stone and killing his grandfather completing the oracle’s prophecy. The moral of the story is to accomplish your goals even if the odds are against you, these stories still exist to inspire people in normal day life and to have the determination to go against barriers in the road.
