The general argument made by Megan Henry in her work, “Should Ohio keep softer high school graduation requirements,” is the question of whether or not to implement alternate pathways for students to use to graduate. Henry writes, “Faced with a host of students who might not get their diplomas, the Ohio’s state school board backed off tougher graduation requirements for this year’s high school seniors.” In this passage, Henry is suggesting that the Ohio board of education doesn’t think there is a need for higher advancements in knowledge. The next two years might be the best time to pass legislation like this because of the Republican control of the White House and Congress. They would do their country a favor if they abolished birthright citizenship because of all the damage it has done to America. The government needs to kill the incentive to break the law.

The rich and the caucasian men were given all of the rights, the privileges, and the responsibilities. The African American men and women were slaves or very unwealthy. The Native American men and women had already been kicked off their land. And then almost as if these numbers are taunting the Native Americans the largest area in America reserved for American Indians is just about twenty seven thousand square miles.
Many students believe that high school seniors should be provided with privileges in honor of their completion of high school. Seniors, they argue, deserve additional rights, considering that they are practically adults and will soon be attending college. To further this transition, as well as prepare for it, there have been numerous privileges granted to high school seniors across the nation, ranging from primary parking to the shortening of schedules. At GHS, senior privileges are implied rather than established.
There are many different things that can impact students in their high school years. Whether these things are friends, activities, or the sports they participate in they all impact the student. Many opportunities are presented to students in high school, although not many impacts the student beyond high school, I believe this opportunity will impact me forever. I would love to be a part of the Early College Program this coming spring. I believe the program will do nothing but help me grow and strive to be a better student and continue being involved.
When customers walk into a well mannered restaurant that is quiet; the restaurant is so quiet that the customers can hear the lights buzzing. The restaurant would be awkward to have a business meeting because one group of people would be the only people talking. There was a little talking it would not be so awkward for a meeting. the noise would not be too loud or too quiet, so it would be perfect to get together and talk. That would not happen if teens were allowed in every store and resturant.
High school has impacted my life in so many ways. High School taught me so many things, from personal relationships to creating a relationship with my education. As a freshman, I made a huge amount of mistakes and I regret doing foolish things, but I’ve realized, I was only maturing into the young adult I am today. Freshman year, I was out of focus and I was only trying to find myself. I would also prioritize other things and ignore my parent’s advice, where they would tell me to focus in school and give it my full attention.
There will be a lot of tutoring opportunities if you are struggling with a subject. Also, know your teachers and coaches are there for you. The social life in high school will change drastically over the years. The friends you have now 90% of the time won’t be the friends you end up with.
High school grows you into the person you are. I have great memories, good and bad, some learning experiences and some that I’ll take with me the rest of my life. My high school experience has influenced my development as a person inside and outside of the class by making me more independent, choosing friends wisely and teachers motivating me to attend college and accomplish goals I have set for myself. I have gained my independence slowly throughout high school. The importance of being independent is being secure with who you are and what you believe in.
