The situation in the health care department requires immediate action to resolve the conflict. One of the most tough decisions as a team leader is whether to act at a specific time (Northouse, 2016, p. 372). Timing is everything when it comes to leadership intervention (p. 372). The entire premise of the Hill Model for team leadership is to direct leadership decisions that impact team effectiveness (Petkovski & Joshevska, 2014).
