Hillary Clinton was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1947 October 26. Hillary attended Eugene Field Elementary School, Ralph Waldo Emerson Middle School, and Wellesley College. At Wellesley College Hillary became a member of the National Honor Society. When she attended Yale Law School in 1969-1973 and became Senior Class president. Not only that, but she also participated in the Yale Review of Law and Social Action where she graduated with honors. Hillary Clinton’s experiences in life helps her become relatable to teens and society because various people are experiencing the same. In 1970 she received a grant which gave her the opportunity to work in the Children Defense Fund. With the grant that was given to Hillary many opportunities were begin offered to her. She even had the pleasure to work with Senator Walter Modale’s subcommittee on migrant workers. Working closely with Senator Walter gave Hillary the opportunity to research about situations such as; health, sanitation, housing and education. Through these small opportunities that were given to her she was receiving more experience and developing her skills. After graduating Hillary became a staff attorney for the Children’s Defense Fund, but that stopped in 1974 because “Hillary returned to Washington as member of the presidential impeachment, where she gave advice to the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representations during the Watergate scandal” (National First Ladies Library). Clinton pursed the possibility to run for the U.S Senate in 1999 and on November 7, 2000 she became the first lady to be elected public office and win a seat in the U.S Senate. As Senate she was in charge of eight sub committee assignments; “ Senate Committee on armed Services with three subcommittee assignments: Air land, emerging threats and capabilities and on readiness and management support; Senate environment and public works committee with three sub committee assignments: clean air, wetlands, private property, nuclear safety on fisheries, wildlife, water, waste control and risk assessment; the Senate health, education, labor and pensions committee, with two subcommittee assignment on aging and on children and families; and lastly the Senate special committee on aging” (National First Ladies Library). Hillary Clinton worked on theses subcommittees and tried to solve the issues that the nation was experiencing to be solved. On the 20th of January 2007, Hillary Clinton announced that she will be entering the race for the presidency in
