Stronger Together “Too many women in too many countries speak the same language, of silence.” These powerful words are spoken by the inspirational Hillary Clinton. She has impacted so many people around the world, but primarily women. However, she went down a long path to end up where she stands today. Hillary Clinton has accomplished much during her lifetime. Her greatest achievements occurred during her time as First Lady of the United States, her time as a United States Senator, and her 2016 Presidential campaign. Although she received mounds of Republican criticism, she won the election with a 56% majority. Hillary Clinton played a big role in the response to 9/11 attacks. “According to U.S. News and World Report, Clinton was key in getting the $21 billion funding necessary for the redevelopment and reconstruction of the World Trade Center buildings and site. Also, in the vein of 9/11 efforts, Clinton also took on a big role in the investigation of health issues faced by 9/11 responders.” (Stanek). This information reflects how she not only cared about her job, but we get a clear understanding that she genuinely cares for the people affected. While Hillary Clinton was a United States Senator, she was involved greatly in helping people. Between the “Family Entertainment Protection Act”, the “Pediatric Research Equity Act”, and the “No Child Left Behind Act”, we know her primary goal as a Senator was to protect the people. Even when I’ve disagreed with her, I’ve respected her. She seemed to have an impenetrable skin, and as a sensitive child, I envied that. The vitriol that has been lobbed at Clinton over the years would have laid a lesser person flat.
