“Today, Collaboration is needed to resolve the challenging issues facing children in our increasingly diverse country”. Time has changed and it’s impressive how social setting and community are becoming more and more influential in children live. Based on my readings and personal experience, I will explain how home, school and community can influence the children’s perceptions and attitudes, and social settings impact on the child’s age.

First, there are many ways how children’s attitude and perceptions get influenced at home. Example; values, traditions, parents behavior are ways to influence children at home. According to the book, attitudes and perceptions emerging from home influences develop early. I definably agree with this. Children start to mimic everything the parent’s does at early age. , at age 3 the child begins to have more community and media influenced. On the other hand, when children go to school, they are influenced by their peers. The teacher plays an important part in their education. According to the self-fulfilling prophecies, the children whom teachers perceive to be capable and intelligent will do much better than will does children whom teacher does not perceive to be capable and intelligent. I think this is true in some children’s. Every child has a different personality. Some children have high self-steam other don’t. The teachers help that child to have a higher self-steam. I agree that children can prevent and provide an emotional climate. For example, bullying is a problem that teachers can help to solve. I work with children in a day cared I see how important when the teacher pays attention to the child behavior. I think this is one example of influence. Even though the child don’t really know what is Halloween they are influence to celebrate this
