Home Schooling Trend
One might think to home school their children but before starting with this big life changing decision, one might consider listening to points of view of some high educated people and their idea, what do they think about home schooling trend. A scholarly journal “Common Argument about the Strengths and Limitations of Home Schooling” by Michael H. Romanowski talks about why families choose home schooling and the strength and weaknesses of this form of education. In “Home Schooling In America: Capturing and Assessing the Movement” book by Joseph Murphy we look to some statistics that he brings to the table and compare families in various ways to figure out what kind of families might choose to home school their children. In opposing view point “Public Education Is Preferable to Home Schooling” by Evie Hudak argues that public schools offer student qualified teachers, high academic standards, safe learning environment, and social interaction; elements that home education may not necessarily provide.

Many home schooling parents believe that teachers in public schooling do not provide teaching about religion. In Christian families that fact will be a big effect on them to decide to choose home schooling over public schooling, Christian families wants to strengthen religion values in their children which is totally understandable from my side. According to statistic that have been made in 2005, 75% of home schooling parents attend church frequently ( qtd in Murphy) which means a large chunk of home schooling families are religious and that is probably why they tend to choose home schooling over public
