Geothermal energy is the most sustainable and eco friendly energy. Fossil Fuel is making our earth hot! It emits a lot of Carbon dioxide, trapping them under Earth’s atmosphere. “In the past 200 years, CO2 in the atmosphere increased about 25%”(science encyclopedia for kids, 2016) If we continue to rely on burning fossil fuel to produce energy, Earth will no longer be suitable for human life. An alternative energy source is Geothermal energy, compared with other renewable energy sources , Geothermal energy has a better sustain of energy produced, and less carbon dioxide emission during the process of producing energy. Geothermal energy should be used globally around the world, it has the potential to replace fossil fuel energy and is also environmentally friendly and reusable.

Even compared with natural gas, dry steam and flash still produced less CO2. While Binary produces literally no air emission. Coal produces about 2200 CO2/MWh(geothermal energy association, 2014) it is the second most used energy source and is the one that produced a lot of pollution. By comparing it with newer geothermal energy plants such as binary, geothermal energy produced significantly less CO2, nearly zero. This shows how Geothermal energy can be impactful for a eco friendly future. Geothermal energy is a renewable energy. Just like other renewable energies such as solar energy and wind energy there is unlimited amount of energy source. Geothermal energy is the extraction of steam and water from geothermal reservoirs. After steam is used to generate energy, the condensed water get reinjected underground to get heated up for another extraction. Because Earth constantly produces heat, this makes geothermal energy a renewable
