Into the Wild is a film by Sean Penn that talks about the journey Chris decided to take, leaving behind his parents and his dreams.He graduated from Emory University as a top student/athlete only to decide he was tired of everything and decided to embark in a journey into the Alaskan wilderness.Christopher McCandless decided to leave behind the american dream in seek of a life full of freedom. As Shaun Callarman stated “ I think Chris McCandless was bright and ignorant at the same time. He had no common sense, and he had no business going into Alaska with his romantic silliness. He made a lot of mistakes based on arrogance. I don 't admire him at all for his courage nor his noble ideas. He graduated and then started to realize that he wanted to be free like a bird and not be caught up with society 's bullshit. Chris donated his money to charity, packed his bags and set off his journey into the wilderness. I respect his decision ,but he didn 't realize he was putting his life in risk and could never return home ever again. If he would of thought a bit more he would have recognized the danger of him going all the way to Alaska.
Chris McCandless stated “When you want something in life, you just gotta reach out and grab it.” He really wanted to be free so he reached out and grabbed tight and set off into the wild. This quote is inspirational, but we need to know what in life is worth reaching out for and if it 's worth taking that risk. Chris was successful and graduated from college but decided that wasn 't the life for him. I admire what he did and believe he was just led off by him wanting to do what he believed was right. We all have to die for something we truly love and he loved freedom and nature and he died because of
