Dear Friend, I have traveled to Makkah and Madinah for business, and have met a man named Muhammad as well as his followers. Muhammad and his followers believe in a religion called Islam, which Muhammad teaches about. Muhammad is a teacher of the faith and religion of Islam. He was born in 570 C.E. in this city, Makkah in Arabia.
In 610 CE A man named Muhammad was outside of a cave meditating and soon began hearing voices. As he listened he heard them say “Give birth to a religion called Islam.” Islam began to spread faster than any other religion. Other religions disagreed with this because they didn’t want to believe that Islam was bigger and better than their religion. After about 140 years, many followers of Islam had created an empire that ruled the Middle East and spread across to North Africa to Europe.

Between the years 20 AD and 300 AD the empire was thriving. They were productive and growing everyday. But after the year 300, it all went down hill.
Most people know of the city called Rome in Italy but did you know that Rome was a super powerful civilization for 1200 years? You may be wondering what caused such a great civilization to fall. What caused its sudden fall? The primary reasons for the fall of Rome were foreign invasions, an unstable government, and natural disasters. One reason for Rome's fall was caused by foreign invasions.
The Islam religion, believed by Muslims, has spread across the globe at rapid speeds. Muhammad ibn Abdullah started the religion. The religion began in Mecca. The religion was made known in 610 CE. The two major themes of the religion are “Allah is the one God” and the importance of charity.
Islam is a religion that was established by a man named Muhammed and means ‘submission.’ As sources say, an angel approached Muhammad while he was meditating in a cave; and told him about the word of Allah, the only God. After Islam was born, and the word of the angel was the beginning of the Qur’an. Islam was established as a monotheistic religion, as Muslims would only believe in one God, and was first preached by Muhammad. Islam grew, and eventually, the first Muslim community was developed in Medina, a city in Saudi Arabia.

Over time, Islam attracted new followers through military conquest, trade, and the appeal of message, which contributed to the rapid spread of Islam.
Rome was built on the banks of the Tiber River and was in a very good place geographically. The capital had access to the Mediterranean and was protected in the north by the alps. The Roman empire grew huge over time and today is known as the only power to control the entire coast/shoreline of the Mediterranean sea. Over time the empire had many different rulers with many different strengths. Rome prospered and expanded during a time period called the “Pax Romana”, which took place during 27 BCE-14 CE.
Islam was an emerging religion in a time of rebirth and when civilizations were beginning to crumble down. In 610, in the caravan city of Mecca, Muhammad received his first revelation from the angel Gabriel about the all powerful god Allah. Spreading like wildfire, this religion quickly became one of the most influential religions to date. Islam, a major turning point in world history, caused numerous continuities and changes. Due to the emergence of Islam, trade to numerous regions such as East Africa and China intensified tremendously, and in addition, facilitated the rise of new powerful empires.

Islam is followed by over a billion people and Muslims make up approximately one quarter of the world’s population. Islam spread quickly during the 600’s trade, choice, and conquest.
The rise of Islam was much more subtle and slow than the rise of Christianity and Judaism. The religion began in 610, when a man named Muhammed began to receive messages from God. The teachings of Muhammed helped him gain followers quickly, and as he did, the religion spread. Christians and Jews tolerated Islam so easily because there were many similarities between the religions.
During the Roman Republic wars, Christianity became more relevant as the Jews relied upon the Messiah to provide protection and offer good will through difficult times. Pagan’s also played a part in the rise of Christianity but favored practicing with traditional Roman gods. These two forms of religions later developed and were blended by Jesus of Nazareth as he preached to his many followers. Shortly after Jesus’ crucifixion, it was claimed that he had risen from his tomb, this resurrection would be the focal point of Christianity and transposed in the writing of the New Testament. Islam’s faith was also centered on the preaching’s of one man, a prophet named Mahammad who was known to speak the direct words of their God, Allah.
Islam Research The religion of Islam came about during the seventh century. Islam is one of the biggest and oldest religions out there. Muslims however believe that it did not start with Muhammad. Muslims also believe that it was the original faith of others who are prophets like Jesus, David and many more.

He lived from 570-632. He was given a revelation to recite the words of Allah, from the archangel. From there, Islam was spread across the world.
Allah in Islam stands for God and carries the same meaning as in Christianity. In Islam, the angel Gabriel spoke to Mohammed and encouraged him to preach to the people and spread the word of Allah. Jesus was said to be the son of God but spoke almost exclusively to Jews (Woodhead, 2004, p 11). The prophets, Mohammed and Jesus, are looked at as symbols of God or Allah. These prophets serve as voices that guide their people 's actions through scripture.
