Without Johannes Gutenberg's invention of the printing press, we would not have half the things that we have today, like plumbing and electricity. Since Gutenberg invented the printing press we have all these things. Gutenberg had a major impact on the world. Johannes Gutenberg had a full life which lead up to his later years in which he built the printing press. And he will always be remembered for what he did in his life.
There are many interesting facts about Gutenberg's early life. He was born sometime in the late 1300s and early 1400s. But, no one knows for sure about where he was born. His father's name was Friele Gensfleisch and his mother's name was Else Wyrich Gutenberg. He had a brother and a sister, too. Even in the early times people had to be educated. Before Gutenberg built the printing press, he worked for months making mirrors So, he made a fortune doing that. Gutenberg did not get married because he had such a busy life. Because of that, he had no children. In 1465 he was honored with Hofmann also known as gentleman of the court. Gutenberg died at age 70 on February 3, 1467. Because he had many different careers, he was able to build the printing press.
These are some reasons Gutenberg will be remembered. Gutenberg will always be remembered because he invented the printing press. The world could not have come this far without it. Johannes Gutenberg helped everyone learn more and get a better education. Since people were able to get better educations people could make more inventions. Gutenberg worked extremely hard to make the printing press. Gutenberg made a fortune while helping the world, his generation and future generations.
