He accomplished many achievements during his lifetime. One achievement that is of great importance is Steinbeck was allowed the chance to have some of his books be adapted into films. Three important facts to know about John Steinbeck: his life, his career, and his books. To begin, Steinbeck was born on February 27, 1902. While he was first unpopular, soon enough Steinbeck would prove to become one of the best known authors around. He was criticized by many critics (Unger52) but this did not stop him from accomplishing his dream. John Steinbeck is an amazing storyteller. (Unger53) He proved the critics wrong when he won a Nobel Prize for literature. The three most important facts to know about John Steinbeck are his life, career, and books. John Steinbeck is a well known author to this day and literature in the U.S. is known as Steinbeck. Steinbeck died on December 20, 1966. This does not mean he is just a memory, his books carry on his story. In fact, there is a National Steinbeck Center right where Steinbeck grew up, Salinas,
