W alter Disney was an American business magnate, animator, producer, and voice actor. In this paper I will be talking about the day Walt Disney was born, the day he died, and everyday in-between. He is regarded as an international icon, well known for his influence and contribution to the field of entertainment during the twentieth century. You may recognize him for being the creator of Mickey Mouse. I hope you learn as much from this paper as I did writing it. You may think you know Walt Disney but, you will realize that you did not after you read this paper.
Childhood and High School

He was also a Congregationalist. Walt Disney married Lillian Bounds on July 13, 1925. The Disney’s first try at pregnancy ended in miscarriage. They later had one child, Diane Marie Disney, born in 1933. She is still alive today. They also adopted a daughter, Sharon Mae Disney, shortly after her birth. She was born in 1936 and passed away in 1993. Walt Disney won 22 Academy awards, 7 Emmy awards, and the Cecil B. Demille Award.
Illness and Death
Walt Disney was a chain smoker his entire life. In 1966, Walt was to undergo surgery to fix an old neck injury. In pre-operative X-rays, doctors discovered a tumor on his left lung. After removing the lung, doctors told Walt that he had 6 months to 2 years to live. On November 30, 1966, Walt Disney collapsed in his home. He was revived by fire department personal and was rushed to St. Joseph’s. Ten days after his 65th birthday, on December 15th, 1966 at 9:30 a.m., Walter Elias Disney passed away of acute circulatory collapse, caused by lung cancer.
Frozen Myth
It is commonly said that Walt Disney was chronically frozen after his death and was stored underneath The Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland. This is not true. Walt Disney was cremated after his death, and his ashes interred at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in
