Julius Caesar was a problem political leader of the Roman Republic. He transformed the Roman empire by expanding its geographic reach and establishing its imperal system. He was born on July 12, 100 BC. When he was just 16 his father died. This made him very close with his mother Aurelia. When his father died he sided with the countries nobility. His first wife was named Cornelia and they had a daughter named Noble. Cornelia passed away in 69 Bc. Caesar fell in love with his second wife Cleopatra and they had a son named lil Caesar. The Rome dictator ordered Caesar to divorce his wife or lose his property. To save his family he joined the military. This was his escape route. He served in the Asia province and then the Celicia. While expanding he showed his ruthlessness with his enemies. He waited til the water supply was low and ordered the rest of their hands to be chopped off. Caesar was named the father of his country. He transformed the empire and relieved many debts. He reformed the Roman calendar and reorganized how the government was constructed. Caesar granted citizenship to foreigners and resurrected two city states. He even invited some of his defeats to join him. Caesars reforms enhanced his standings with Rome’s populations. But his popularity with the senate was another matter. Many politicians seen that Caesar was an inspiring king. Its been five centuries since they accepted a new king and Caesar made his way to the top. Caesar recognized wealth in conquest, so he left Rome and went to Gaul. In 58 bce he defeated tribes just like he did in Spain. The Germanic tribes were very intimidating, so this made Caesar react. A bridge was built near the Rhine River. He made sure that his soldiers would be seen as form of threat. In the end Caesar then knocked the bridge down to show his power. This gave the Germans and idea and they stayed in place. Caesar then overpowered Vercingetorix and finished his journey to Gaul. With all this Caesar proved his point and was free of Gaul. Caesar made many big decisions.
