The rise of Islam was during the seventh century. The quick rise of Islam started with a man named Muhammad. Muhammad was a merchant from the city of Mecca. Before his death in 632 he had many followers and had made large impacts on the medieval period with a religion that he grew very quickly. Muhammad was the messenger of god. He was visited by the angel Gabriel in the middle of the night, and Gabriel told Muhammad to spread the word of God. This is what allowed certain religions to spread so quickly. For example, Christianity and Judaism. Muhammad’s beliefs spread across central Asia like a wildfire. The speed of Islam spreading is what allowed Muhammad to have so many successful victories and is what makes this a fascinating story. Muhammad taught what was called the Quran, which was direct teachings from God. He also inspired many people with his own teachings that were similar to the Quran, but the technique was different. Muhammad had many Arabian tribes that followed him, the tough part was getting all the tribes to get along so that they could spread the message of the Quran. Muhammad came up with a series of rules and a constitution that everyone could live by to be equal and have no conflicts with each other. Now that Muhammad had united all his followers he could now conquer different parts of the middle east to, spread Islam. It started with his migration to Medina, otherwise known as the Hirja, then from there he conquered many places with tactical and savage warriors.
