The mysteries of the universe have always fascinated mankind, luring many men and women from all corners of the Earth to investigate and uncover its nature and mechanisms. Philosophers and scientists like Plato, Aristotle, and Isaac Newton introduced novel philosophies and explanations that ultimately transformed man’s perspective on the universe and paved the way for the study of nature, known as science. For instance, Plato and Aristotle are Greek philosophers who attempted to explain the nature and behavior of the universe through logical reasoning, while Newton derived the intricate relationship of objects in the universe. Even though many of their ancient and archaic theories are debunked by discoveries in modern science, thus making them irrelevant in the current age; yet, the perspective and implications within them are still considered major contributions to mankind.
