Italy has a very long known history recorded back to the 1st century, where the BC Italy was under the control of a single power. Rome remained the capital from the 1st until the 5th century AD. However, the Etruscans began to lose their power to Rome between the 4th and 5th centuries (Gascoigne, B. 2001). In 200 to 800 BC, the southern Italian Peninsula was inhabited by the Etruscans ancient Greeks and many other Italian’s tribes such as the Latins, Campanians, Samnites and Sabines peoples.
