Today there are still fords being produced. This changed the Progressive Era, because the car became a demand and became powerful in the industrial world.

First, The Assembly Line, the Assembly Line changed the way we make cars today by Reducing Worker Shifts, making cars cheaper to produce and making cars quicker made. Basically a process of making cars where certain parts are put on a conveyor belt and put in place in order moving from one station to another by workers. This process was quicker and made worker shifts shorter therefore making these cars cost less to make. Now that the cars were not as expensive to make Ford could sell them for less. Now that they were sold for less more people were buying the Model T, which was the popular car back then.

He may not have invented the automobile or the assembly line but he did create the Model T which was a big advance in automobile history and he kept on improving it which led to the Model A which also led to mass production a useful business strategy used today using low prices and a faster production rate producing many of a certain product making money quicker and more efficient ( . Many American now began to fight for better wages so they could participate in the purchasing of the consumer goods such as the Model T car. Ford was creating a new class of living for the United States not only were they compensating their employees better than most companies but he was lowering the price of cars so that American would be able to purchase them on their income. After the creation of the assembly line Ford could lower the price of his cars by over half from $700 in 1910 to $316 in 1916. The car could be purchased by the working class of America.

The Model T was the most affordable on the market at the time, thus making it very successful.

In 1908 Ford first released the Model T automobile at a price of $825.00. He was able to offer the vehicle at such a low price because in the process of producing the Model T he also developed and perfected the moving assembly line. This reduced the assembly time by over fifty percent, which in turn reduced the price of the automobile. The Ford Motor Company has continued to grow and after over a century of being in business it is now worth around $199 billion.
With this in mind, the Model T during the 1900s was used as a method of transportation by many wealthy and middle-class customers due to being priced under $1,000. However, unlike the Model T that was an immediate hit, the production of trucks in America which were first produced in 1898, did not increase until the 1930s (Reich, pp. 19-24). The reason behind the importance of these ideas with the Model T and trucks pertain to why these automobiles became a success during their selected time periods. To clarify, as for the mass production of the Model T in 1913 through 1914, the Model T was already considered to be outdated due to other automobiles having improvements that the Model T lacked (Flink, p. 60).
