Sons of Liberty
“No taxation without representation,” said the Sons of Liberty. The Sons of Liberty were heroes for our country. They were heroes for many reasons, including that they started the revolution and that they finally gave the people of America a voice.
Furthermore, the Sons of Liberty sparked the American Revolution. On December 16, 1773 the Sons of Liberty members dressed up as Native Americans, snuck out of their homes late at night and headed for the docks of Boston, Massachusetts and famously pulled off the Boston Tea Party led by Samuel Adams, the leader of the Sons of Liberty. With that, the Boston Tea Party begun the beginning of the revolution of the “shot heard around the world” which was April 19, 1775. Because of the American Revolution, the United States get a say in their own country, and run it the way America wants it to be run. The USA is free from the British rule.

Those people believe that they were fanatics because they did things like manipulating people and refusing to pay their taxes. Those people believe that the Sons of Liberty could've done something less drastic to show that they wanted to be free from Britain's rule. However, if the Americans really wanted to be free and have their say (may I add that they did) they would have to take extreme measures to be taken seriously by the British because during that time, England was the most powerful country. To do things like manipulate people, they did that so they could find a way to have freedom or to undermine England. Also, the Sons of Liberty didn’t pay their taxes because England set the prices so high on taxes so they could pay for the expenses that they spent for the French and Indian War.
