There have been an increasing number of abortion cases throughout the world. Approximately 50 million babies have been aborted since 1973. However, just in the United States around 1.21 million abortions have happen per year. Number of people feel that abortion is a dreadful and unpleasant concept. The topic about abortion is a debatable issue that affects our society in completely different ways. What is abortion? Abortion is a procedure to end a pregnancy. Abortion uses medicine or surgery to remove the fetus and placenta from the uterus. Abortion has a very long and interesting history. In the late 1800s, women healers and the U.S arranged abortions and trained other women to do so, without legal prohibitions. It was until the 19th century …show more content…
For example, a passage states, “Rape-related pregnancy occurs with the significant frequency. It’s a cause of many unwanted pregnancies and is closely linked with family and domestic violence.” About 237,268 people each year are victims of sexual assault. The article lets us know that because of the assault the women feel like they don’t want a reminder of what happened. Maybe it’s wrong to use the Holocaust as a comparison to the killing of a fetus, but why should it be any difference they’re both being killed unfairly. For example, the number of deaths in the Holocaust is over 15 million, and the number of children in the Holocaust is 1.1 million. Many Jews were killed in the Holocaust for no reason, unless you count being Jewish a reason to kill. There are ways different procedure that women can to instead of giving the baby’s life away. According to the BIRTHMOTHERS website, “Parenting is challenging but an extremely rewarding experience.” If women if women end up having the baby they’ll have a new perspective in life, which would be a good thing. Some ways that we can prevent abortion according to the website, “Women can Interim foster care provides a loving, nurturing short-term home for a newborn infant.” Best option I heard for all the teenage girls who feel that they aren’t ready for such a big task. Once again, the baby is not being harmed
