Helping the 800 Million There are nearly 800 million people who suffer from undernourishment; that is, one in nine people who struggle every day to obtain just one meal for the day. There are many causes as to why almost 15% of the population is malnourished, but does climate change contribute to world hunger? Climate impacts are expected to rise and cause the greatest damage in poor countries. Almost nine million people die at the end of each year from hunger. Humans cannot control the weather, but they can contribute to making an effort in ending world
